Dispense Prescriptions
We dispense both NHS & Private prescriptions. If you have any questions or concerns regarding your medication, the pharmacist is always available to help you.
Repeatable Prescriptions
If you have to take the same medication regularly your Doctor may issue you with repeatable prescriptions. This means that whenever you run out of your medication all you need do is to come into the pharmacy and have one of your repeatable prescriptions dispensed.
Advice for Self Care and Healthy Lifestyle
You can ask your pharmacist and trained healthcare staff for advice on how to treat a minor ailment, managing a long term condition or for the details of a help or support group. Where the pharmacist is unable to help, you will be referred to the appropriate healthcare professional or organisation. Your pharmacist is available to provide healthy lifestyle advice, for example advice on stopping smoking, healthy eating or specific advice for a particular medical condition.
Stop Smoking Clinic
If you are a smoker and serious about quitting, give yourself the best possible chance by using our NHS stop smoking service. Evidence shows that you are more likely to stop smoking for good if you get the right advice and support.
Minor Ailments Clinic
Patients suffering from minor ailments can have a consultation in our private consulting room with the pharmacist, who will supply the appropriate medication when possible, or refer the patient to the appropriate healthcare professional when necessary. This provides an alternative to visiting the doctors surgery for such patients. The service is free of charge for people who are exempt from prescription charges.
Medicines Use Review
This service is for patients who are on regular prescription medication and is free of charge. The aims of the review are to check that you are taking or using your medication correctly, that you are getting the maximum benefit from them and to answer any questions you may have about them.
Safe Disposal of Medicines
If you have any unwanted or out of date medication you should not try to dispose of the medicines yourself. Bring them into the pharmacy where they can be disposed of correctly and safely.
Emergency Contraception Supply
If you require “the morning after pill” an assessment for the eligibility and appropriateness will be carried out first and if a supply is made it will be free of charge.
